ESL successfully blast the Houses of Parliament

The Palace of Westminster, commonly known as the Houses of Parliament is the meeting place of both the House of Commons and the House of Lords and the centre of political life in the UK. Behind the scenes and mainly underground lie a network of tunnels used to keep government supplied with all the day to day essentials required by such a large and diverse organisation.

ESL, the Industrial Cleaning Equipment Company, are now playing a key role in the ongoing maintenance of these critical supply routes through the hire of their Dustless Blasting Equipment which is being used to remove asbestos from the walls and ceilings of the supply tunnels. There are 2 separate Torbo Dustless Blasting Systems in use for asbestos and artex removal. The larger Torbo L320 system is used for non-stop dustless blasting to save time whilst the smaller Torbo M120 system is dustless blasting in smaller and tighter tunnels because of its manoeuvrability.

‘Torbo Dustless Blasting Systems work with water introduced to the abrasive blasting process so that the normal environmental impacts of traditional sandblasting are avoided. Together with their renowned high performance and reliability, this meant that these world-renowned industrial cleaning machines were the perfect solution for a very challenging project.’, Steve Thomas, Business Development Director for ESL explained.

ESL’s wide range of world-leading industrial cleaning equipment and machinery is available for sale or hire.
